Brief: This nursery was the first heart project that I worked on. This design was for a single mom who went through a lot of adversity. With the help of a community agency she was able to get her own and very first apartment and was also about to have her first baby within a month. She was here in the U.S alone, all of her family was in Argentina, so she didn’t really have a lot of support or connections. She had no furniture or home items. So I thought she would be a perfect candidate for my first heart project. I gave myself a budget with this design of around $500. This is because I was donating all of the stuff I bought. This beautiful young mom was able to buy the crib and the dresser for her baby’s nursery, through donations of members in the community. My total cost for this project came out to be around 550$, and it took me about one full day to put everything together. The smile on mom‘s face when she saw the nursery was priceless. It made my heart full to see her so happy.
Goals: Baby animal theme (mom’s request), light, airy, dreamy.
